Do you come out to Balboa Island and the peninsula?
Yes, Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 7 PM, closed Sunday, with same-day or next-day visits depending on the schedule.
Why does the ice taste stale when we come back to the house?
Ice and the water in the line sit while the house is empty. Throw out the first few batches and change the water filter if it is due. Small or hollow cubes after that usually point to a weak water supply or a unit that is not level.
How should I leave the refrigerator in a second home?
For a few weeks, leave it running and clear out perishables. For months, empty and clean it, switch it off at the breaker and prop the doors open so mildew does not take hold.
A guest left our refrigerator in Sabbath mode. How do we turn it off?
It keeps cooling, but the lights, ice maker and alarms stay off. On a later Sub-Zero Classic the display shows SA, and one touch of the power key ends it; on an Integrated touchscreen, touch and hold the screen for about five seconds. Other models differ; see the owner's guide.
